Website audit for a site we did not build

Quoted after a short call One time, fixed price. CAD, before tax.

Most practices do not need a new website. They need to know what is wrong with the one they have, in plain language, from someone who is not selling the fix.

In short

A full written review of your current website: speed, search, AI search, compliance, privacy, accessibility and ownership, with what to fix, what to keep, and whether to move.

The free ten point check gives you a score in seconds. The audit is the full version: every page read, every form tested, speed measured on a phone, search presence and AI assistant presence checked, every clinical page reviewed against your College's advertising standard and the prescription drug rules, the privacy policy compared to what the site actually does, accessibility checked by a person, and the ownership question answered: who holds the domain, the hosting, the code and the content.

The report ends with a recommendation in one of three forms: keep and fix (with the list), move to a new build without losing search, or leave it alone. We put the recommendation in writing before any quote, and the audit fee is credited if you go on to build with us.

What you get

  • Speed and weight measured on a phone, with the method stated so it can be repeated
  • Search presence: what Google indexes, what ranks, what is missing, Google Business Profile and listings
  • AI search presence: what ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity say about the practice and where they got it
  • Compliance review of every clinical page against your College's current advertising standard and the prescription drug rules, with a dated record
  • Privacy: the policy against the site's actual forms, cookies, pixels and third parties
  • Accessibility: automated scan plus a manual pass of the key journeys
  • Ownership: domain, DNS, hosting, code, content and accounts, and what it would take to leave
  • A written recommendation: keep and fix, move, or leave alone, with costs for each

What the AI does, and what a person does

How we use AI across these modules: it drafts, schedules, monitors and reports. It does not decide what a patient sees. Every post, reply, email, ad and page is approved by a person before it goes out, and the clinical and regulatory check is done by a pharmacist, not by a model. AI output can be wrong; the approval step exists because of that.

AI doesA person does
Crawls the site, measures, compares the privacy policy to the site's behaviour, and drafts findings.A pharmacist reviews every clinical page against the College standard; a person tests every form and journey by hand and confirms each finding.
Asks the AI assistants about the practice and records what they say.We read the answers with you and trace where each claim came from.

The rules this runs under

  • The compliance part of the audit reviews against the current version of your College's advertising standard and the federal prescription drug advertising rules, and records the version and date. It states what was reviewed and what was found; it does not declare a site compliant.

Sources: Food and Drug Regulations, s. C.01.044, CPBC (BC), OCP (ON), CPSBC (BC), CPSO (ON). Checked against the version current on the date below; confirmed again against your province and profession before work starts.

  • The privacy part compares the policy with the forms, cookies and third party requests actually present, against the federal and provincial law that applies to your practice.

Sources: PIPEDA, PIPA (BC), PIPA (Alberta), Québec private sector privacy law (QC), PHIPA (Ontario). Checked against the version current on the date below; confirmed again against your province and profession before work starts.

Rules and platform policies as read on 25 October 2026. They change; the quarterly re review under Care picks up changes, and nothing here is legal advice.

What it does not do

  • It is not an obligation to buy anything. The audit fee is fixed and the recommendation can be to leave the site alone.
  • It is not ongoing maintenance of a WordPress site. We do not maintain WordPress; if the recommendation is to keep the site, the fixes are for your current developer, or we quote a move.
  • It is not a legal opinion; it states what was checked against which standard.

What you provide

  • The website address
  • Your profession and province
  • Access to Google Business Profile and Search Console if you have them; the audit works without

What it costs

Quoted after a short call

Prices for these modules are not published yet. Each is quoted after a short call, in Canadian dollars before tax, and written into the proposal before any work starts.

Growth itself has a published price on the Growth page. A module can be added to Growth, or taken on its own after a build.

Questions about website audit for a site we did not build

How is this different from the free check?

The free check reads one page and scores ten points in seconds. The audit reads every page, tests every form, has a pharmacist review the clinical content against your College standard, and answers the ownership question. It ends with a written recommendation and costs for each option.

Will you maintain our WordPress site if the audit says keep it?

No. We do not maintain WordPress, on purpose, and the technology page explains why. If the recommendation is to keep the site, the fix list is written so your current developer can act on it. If it is to move, we quote a build that keeps your search presence.
