Accessibility statement

Last reviewed 2026-09-08.

Monograph builds every site, including this one, to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and re checks it every quarter. Accessibility is one of the twelve commitments in the Monograph Standard.

What this site does

  • Semantic HTML with one heading structure per page, landmarks, and a skip link.
  • Text and background colours checked for contrast; the lowest ratio in use is 4.9 to 1.
  • Every image has a text alternative. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Text resizes and reflows; nothing is locked to a fixed size.
  • Motion is limited to hover states and respects the reduced motion setting.

How we test

Automated checks in the build pipeline (headings, alt text, labels, contrast tokens), manual keyboard testing on every page, and screen reader spot checks. A full pass is run at launch and every quarter.

Known limitations

None recorded at 2026-09-08. Third party embeds added later (for example a booking widget) are tested when added and listed here if they fall short.
