Brand kit for a new practice

Quoted after a short call One time. CAD, before tax.

A new pharmacy or clinic needs a name that the College will accept, a mark that reads on a storefront, and one set of colours and type that the website, the bags and the sign all share.

In short

A name check, a wordmark, a palette, type and the files a sign maker, a printer and a website all need, built the way every Monograph site already has a documented brand system.

We start with the name: is it available as a domain, is it already a registered pharmacy or clinic name in your province, does it suggest a claim the College would question. Then AI gives us breadth quickly, dozens of directions for the wordmark, palette and type, and a designer takes the two or three that work and finishes them properly. You get a short brand guide and every file format the people you will hire later need.

Every site in our folio already runs on a documented brand system: named colours, type roles, a mark. This module produces that system for a practice that does not have one yet, so the website that follows is built on it rather than guessing.

What you get

  • Name check: domain availability, the provincial College register, obvious trademark conflicts, and whether the name implies a claim
  • A wordmark and a compact mark, with clear space and minimum sizes
  • A palette with named colours, contrast checked for accessibility, in print and screen values
  • Type roles for headings, body and detail, using typefaces you can licence or that are free
  • A short brand guide (usually eight to twelve pages) and the files: SVG, PDF, PNG, and a sign maker's vector
  • Two rounds of revision

What the AI does, and what a person does

How we use AI across these modules: it drafts, schedules, monitors and reports. It does not decide what a patient sees. Every post, reply, email, ad and page is approved by a person before it goes out, and the clinical and regulatory check is done by a pharmacist, not by a model. AI output can be wrong; the approval step exists because of that.

AI doesA person does
Generates many directions for the mark, palette and type in the first days.A designer chooses, refines and finishes; nothing AI generated is shipped as final artwork.
Checks the name against domain records and runs the first pass of register and trademark searches. We confirm the College register by hand and tell you where a lawyer's trademark search is worth the fee.

The rules this runs under

  • Pharmacy and clinic names are regulated in most provinces: the College approves or records the name under which a licence is issued, and names that imply a specialty, a guarantee or an affiliation can be refused. We check the current requirement for your province before any design starts.

Sources: CPBC (BC), OCP (ON), CPSBC (BC), CPSO (ON). Checked against the version current on the date below; confirmed again against your province and profession before work starts.

  • Accessibility is built into the palette: text colours are chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast so the website and printed material are readable.

    Sources: WCAG 2.1.

Rules and platform policies as read on 25 October 2026. They change; the quarterly re review under Care picks up changes, and nothing here is legal advice.

What it does not do

  • It is not a trademark registration or a legal opinion; we tell you when one is worth getting.
  • It does not include signage fabrication, printing or packaging; it produces the files those suppliers need.
  • It does not use AI generated artwork as a final mark. AI is used for breadth; a person makes the final.

What you provide

  • The name or names you are considering
  • Your province and profession
  • A few references you like and dislike, in any form

What it costs

Quoted after a short call

Prices for these modules are not published yet. Each is quoted after a short call, in Canadian dollars before tax, and written into the proposal before any work starts.

Growth itself has a published price on the Growth page. A module can be added to Growth, or taken on its own after a build.

Questions about brand kit for a new practice

We already have a logo. Do we need this?

Usually not. If the logo works and you have the vector file, a build uses it. The brand kit is for a new practice, or for one whose only logo is a small JPEG from years ago.

Will AI make our logo?

AI gives the designer many directions quickly. The mark you receive is drawn and finished by a person, so it is yours and it prints cleanly at any size.
