Pharmacy and clinic website design in Nova Scotia
Monograph designs, builds and maintains websites for pharmacies and clinics across Nova Scotia. We are two practising pharmacists who own pharmacies in British Columbia, and every page is checked against the rules that apply in Nova Scotia.
The rules
What a Nova Scotia pharmacy or clinic website has to get right
Advertising rules
Pharmacies in Nova Scotia are regulated by the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator, and physicians by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. What a page may say about services, prices and outcomes follows their standards; other professions follow their own College.
Health privacy
Nova Scotia's Personal Health Information Act applies to custodians, which expressly include regulated health professionals, operators of group practices of regulated health professionals, and licensed pharmacies.
What pharmacists may prescribe
Nova Scotia pharmacists can assess and prescribe for common or minor ailments, urinary tract infections, shingles and contraception management, and there is no charge for the assessment with a valid Nova Scotia health card. A pharmacy site can describe these services in the College's terms and send patients to book through the pharmacy's own tool.
Drug coverage
Refill, transfer and service pages name the plan patients know: Nova Scotia Pharmacare. How refill and transfer requests work.
