The rules

What a Lethbridge pharmacy or clinic website has to get right

Advertising rules

Pharmacies in Alberta are regulated by the Alberta College of Pharmacy, and physicians by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. What a page may say about services, prices and outcomes follows their standards; other professions follow their own College.

The advertising rules guide and the compliance register.

Health privacy

Alberta's Health Information Act applies to custodians of health information, and the Alberta College of Pharmacy states that pharmacy professionals are custodians; physicians are custodians too. Contact details a website collects are handled under the same practice policies.

What pharmacists may prescribe

Alberta's 2026 pharmacy services fee schedule includes a fee for a pharmacist prescribing a medication at initial access. A pharmacy site can describe these services in the College's terms and send patients to book through the pharmacy's own tool.

Names, links and rules checked 8 October 2026. This is a summary for planning a website, not legal advice: each page is reviewed against the current version of the relevant standard at the time of the build, and the review is recorded.

Questions from Lethbridge practices

Who builds pharmacy and clinic websites in Lethbridge?

Monograph does, from Vancouver. We are two practising pharmacists who own pharmacies in British Columbia, and we build and maintain websites for pharmacies and clinics across Canada, including in Lethbridge. Every page is checked against the Alberta College of Pharmacy, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta or the relevant College before it goes live.

Do you need to be in Lethbridge to build our website?

No. Discovery, content review and training happen by video call, and the site, the booking links and your Google Business Profile are set up remotely. Your team approves every page before it goes live.

Can our website be in German?

Yes. In the Lethbridge census metropolitan area, 1,500 people speak German most often at home (2021 Census). The site is built so a second or third language is a content task, and each translated page is reviewed the same way as the English one.

What does a website for a Lethbridge pharmacy or clinic cost?

Build is from $2,500, Care is $150 to $250 per month after three free months, and Growth is from $500 per month. The price is the same in Lethbridge as anywhere else in Canada, in Canadian dollars before tax, with nothing billed by the hour.
