The rules

What a Summerside pharmacy or clinic website has to get right

Advertising rules

Pharmacies in Prince Edward Island are regulated by the Prince Edward Island College of Pharmacy, and physicians by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island. What a page may say about services, prices and outcomes follows their standards; other professions follow their own College.

The advertising rules guide and the compliance register.

Health privacy

Prince Edward Island's Health Information Act applies to custodians, which include health care providers and the operators of health care facilities, and the Act's definition of health care facility includes a pharmacy.

What pharmacists may prescribe

Under Pharmacy Plus PEI, pharmacists can assess and prescribe for a listed set of common ailments, such as uncomplicated urinary tract infections, shingles, strep throat and contraception. A pharmacy site can describe these services in the College's terms and send patients to book through the pharmacy's own tool.

Drug coverage

Refill, transfer and service pages name the plan patients know: PEI Pharmacare. How refill and transfer requests work.

Names, links and rules checked 8 October 2026. This is a summary for planning a website, not legal advice: each page is reviewed against the current version of the relevant standard at the time of the build, and the review is recorded.

Questions from Summerside practices

Who builds pharmacy and clinic websites in Summerside?

Monograph does, from Vancouver. We are two practising pharmacists who own pharmacies in British Columbia, and we build and maintain websites for pharmacies and clinics across Canada, including in Summerside. Every page is checked against the Prince Edward Island College of Pharmacy, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island or the relevant College before it goes live.

Do you need to be in Summerside to build our website?

No. Discovery, content review and training happen by video call, and the site, the booking links and your Google Business Profile are set up remotely. Your team approves every page before it goes live.

Can our website be in Punjabi?

Yes. In the Summerside census agglomeration, 250 people speak Punjabi most often at home (2021 Census). The site is built so a second or third language is a content task, and each translated page is reviewed the same way as the English one.

What does a website for a Summerside pharmacy or clinic cost?

Build is from $2,500, Care is $150 to $250 per month after three free months, and Growth is from $500 per month. The price is the same in Summerside as anywhere else in Canada, in Canadian dollars before tax, with nothing billed by the hour.
