The rules

What a Sherbrooke pharmacy or clinic website has to get right

Advertising rules

Pharmacies in Quebec are regulated by the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec, and physicians by the Collège des médecins du Québec. What a page may say about services, prices and outcomes follows their standards; other professions follow their own College.

Health privacy

Since 1 July 2024, Quebec's Act respecting health and social services information applies to health information held by health bodies, and the health ministry's guide names community pharmacies and private professional offices. Other personal information a practice handles, such as website contact form data, falls under the private sector Act as amended by Law 25.

What pharmacists may prescribe

Quebec pharmacists can prescribe for certain minor conditions (expanded on 25 January 2021), and the Ordre des pharmaciens says a broader expansion for common health problems begins gradually on 9 December 2026. A pharmacy site can describe these services in the College's terms and send patients to book through the pharmacy's own tool.

Drug coverage

Refill, transfer and service pages name the plan patients know: RAMQ Public Prescription Drug Insurance Plan. How refill and transfer requests work.

French

Under the Charter of the French Language as amended in 2022, a business website must be available in French; another language may appear only if French is at least as prominent, and the French version must be available on terms at least as favourable.

Names, links and rules checked 8 October 2026. This is a summary for planning a website, not legal advice: each page is reviewed against the current version of the relevant standard at the time of the build, and the review is recorded.

Questions from Sherbrooke practices

Who builds pharmacy and clinic websites in Sherbrooke?

Monograph does, from Vancouver. Every page is checked against the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec, the Collège des médecins du Québec or the relevant College before it goes live.

Do you need to be in Sherbrooke to build our website?

No. Discovery, content review and training happen by video call, and the site, the booking links and your Google Business Profile are set up remotely. Your team approves every page before it goes live.

Does a Sherbrooke pharmacy or clinic website need to be in French?

Under the Charter of the French Language as amended in 2022, a business website must be available in French; another language may appear only if French is at least as prominent, and the French version must be available on terms at least as favourable. We build the French version as the primary one, checked against the Office québécois de la langue française guidance at the time of the build.

What does a website for a Sherbrooke pharmacy or clinic cost?

Build is from $2,500, Care is $150 to $250 per month after three free months, and Growth is from $500 per month. The price is the same in Sherbrooke as anywhere else in Canada, in Canadian dollars before tax, with nothing billed by the hour.
