The rules

What a Fredericton pharmacy or clinic website has to get right

Advertising rules

Pharmacies in New Brunswick are regulated by the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, and physicians by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. What a page may say about services, prices and outcomes follows their standards; other professions follow their own College.

The advertising rules guide and the compliance register.

Health privacy

New Brunswick's Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA) applies to custodians, which include licensed health care providers, and its definition of health care facility includes pharmacies and medical clinics.

What pharmacists may prescribe

New Brunswick pharmacists can assess and prescribe for a listed set of common ailments, such as uncomplicated urinary tract infections, shingles and conjunctivitis, and the province funds these services for residents with a valid Medicare card. A pharmacy site can describe these services in the College's terms and send patients to book through the pharmacy's own tool.

Drug coverage

Refill, transfer and service pages name the plan patients know: New Brunswick Prescription Drug Program and New Brunswick Drug Plan. How refill and transfer requests work.

Names, links and rules checked 8 October 2026. This is a summary for planning a website, not legal advice: each page is reviewed against the current version of the relevant standard at the time of the build, and the review is recorded.

Questions from Fredericton practices

Who builds pharmacy and clinic websites in Fredericton?

Monograph does, from Vancouver. We are two practising pharmacists who own pharmacies in British Columbia, and we build and maintain websites for pharmacies and clinics across Canada, including in Fredericton. Every page is checked against the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick or the relevant College before it goes live.

Do you need to be in Fredericton to build our website?

No. Discovery, content review and training happen by video call, and the site, the booking links and your Google Business Profile are set up remotely. Your team approves every page before it goes live.

Can our website be in Arabic?

Yes. In the Fredericton census metropolitan area, 950 people speak Arabic most often at home (2021 Census). The site is built so a second or third language is a content task, and each translated page is reviewed the same way as the English one.

Build is from $2,500, Care is $150 to $250 per month after three free months, and Growth is from $500 per month. The price is the same in Fredericton as anywhere else in Canada, in Canadian dollars before tax, with nothing billed by the hour.
